Hey there, it’s Yaren this time. I am taking over for Hanna this week and will give you a bit of a different perspective on the Fishtag Project. Unlike Hanna, I haven’t been working specifically on this project, but have worked on other client projects in the company. There have been a couple of times where they needed a helping hand and I was available to step in, which has shown me the complexity, but also the charm of Fishtag. The topics I will cover in this blog are mainly about conferences I have attended to present Fishtag and the response I have gotten from professionals, students and potential customers visiting our booth.
Even though I have been to several conferences showcasing Fishtag wire sensors, there has been one specific conference where it got special attention and that was The Sensor Decade in Oslo, Norway on 1st-2nd of June 2022.
The Sensor Decade was a place to share knowledge and experience, accelerating the growth of new ideas. Technology companies from all over Norway presented their work ready to collaborate with other innovative minds. Norway is rapidly advancing when it comes to autonomy, employing robotics for manufacturing, health, space, subsea, precision agriculture and predictive maintenance. Each of these application areas have their own specific needs and environmental challenges, and they have much to learn from each other. ZP had a lot to offer for this conference, since we are covering several of the above mentioned application areas with our sensors and products.
Aquaculture has been one of many big topics that day, since that is the only way our population can ensure that we have sufficient seafood for the future. Not just will it help to prevent hunger crisis, but it is also a key source of high-quality proteins to human beings. It is important to make people aware of the importance of maintaining a healthy environment in aquaculture.
Many great minds aren’t familiar with this concept and enlightening them is part of our job. Marketing and presenting these products is as important as actually developing the product, since it in the end will be the people out there taking it into use. There is little efficiency of a great product, if not the right person gets it in their hands and brings it to greater use. It is a real challenge to present a product to a new customer, since timing in the market always plays a big role and is one of the biggest issues. Therefore, presenting our product at the conferences we attend and aiming for the right people to be there at the right time is our motivation to reach our goals.
We hope to see you in one of the upcoming conferences that we will be attending. You can find a list of that on this link.
Until next time,
